Micah Homelessness Services aim to deliver innovative and evidence-based services that end homelessness for individuals and families in Brisbane.

Our services are based at the Brisbane Homelessness Service Centre, and provide both centre-based and outreach support to individuals and families including:

Assessment and Referral Team - homelessness crisis and referral service

• Provide information, referrals, support and advocacy to assist people to: prevent homelessness, access emergency accommodation, find suitable long-term housing and establish a home.

Street to Home - public space and homelessness outreach service

• Provide proactive outreach to people sleeping rough and responds to people who are intoxicated and vulnerable in public spaces.

Homefront - supportive housing outreach service

• Provide proactive and consistent support to people with a disability who require support to maintain their housing and create a home, such as meeting tenancy obligations and adressing health, employment, training, education, recreations and daily living needs.

Homelessness to Home - family support outreach service

• Supports homeless families transition from a crisis situation into long-term, secure and affordable housing and then provide proactive outreach support to these families to break the cycle of homelessness and achieve other outcomes for all members of the family (adults and children).

Families Connect - homelessness early intervention service for families

• Provide proactive and timely support to prevent homelessness through quickly securing a family’s housing. Families Connect will work with all family members along the full continuum of issues to promote stability, resilience and independence.

Court to Home - homelessness early intervention service in partnership with the Court Diversion Program

• Provide proactive and timely support to individuals who are referred to the Court Diversion Program. Early Intervention support is provided to address a person’s offending, access and maintain housing and access support services to match need
